The Frantoi Cutrera is a family run business set in approximately 50
 hectares of land in the Chiaramonte Gulfi region, in the heart of the
 Iblei Mountains in southern Sicily.
 For generations the family has been dedicated  to the cultivation of olives,
 a profession carried out with true
 love and dedication

 
Giovanni, the head of the family, founded the first mill in 1979 along with
the active help of his wife Maria, after a childhood spent between mills and
olive groves were the work was carried out using the aid of mules and
old fashioned hand presses

 

Since 2000, the Frantoi Cutrera has been managed by their chidren: Maria, Giuseppina and Salvatore along with
their respective spouses;
everyone within the company carries
 out his allotted duties with great care
 
Even though papà Giovanni  has now completely retired, he is still on hand to
answer any reference points with his inexhaustible fountain of knowledge
accumulated over an entire lifetime spent amongst the olive groves.
